The Fort William and Lochaber area has so much on offer....

Outdoor activities in the Fort William area include hang-gliding, scuba diving, low-level walking, rock climbing, sailing, skiing, snow-boarding and canoeing. Other options are sight-seeing, visiting historical places including many ancient castles, or riding on the famous Harry Potter steam train.

1 Take the world renouned Jacobite steam train from Fort William to the port of Mallaig through some of Scotlands finest scenery

2 Take Souter's Lass boat trip to see the scenery and wildlife

3 Visit Nevis Range and take the gondola up the mountan

4 Walk around Inverlochy Castle ruins

5 Drive to Glencoe and walk around the Forestry Lochan

6 Visit Glen Nevis and see the Lower Falls and Steall Falls

7 Drive to Fort Augustus and see the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness

8 Take a picnic out to Morar or Traigh beach to discover turquoise water and silver sands

9 Drive all the way around Ardnamurchan for the day

10 Hire an outdoor instructor and try something new - fly fishing, rock climbing, sailing or canoeing
